Different types of government
Monarchy's, Democracies, Dictatorships, and other forms of government can be added. Military power, happiness, production, growth, and relations with other Cities/kingdoms would be affected depending on the government type. Maybe kingdoms would dislike other kingdoms that have different forms of government? Maybe the health of the average citizen would be affected In a dictatorship? There Is a lot of potential with this idea.

You could change the ideology yourself, like the language and other things in the game. -

Firtree90It seems way to complex and not needed to add to a medieval fantasy. There are other more important and fitting things to add
Inflated chair no just no. Especially that ideology is such a redditor thing to say. Play hoi4 instead. -

haydnKCwould be cool to see this play into the militarist diplomatic administrative stuff too, so a militarist dictator would use war to keep their subjects loyal or a diplomatic one would use allied nation's strength to stop their people revolting and an administrative one would just be a skilled bureaucrat

haydnKCFirtree90 stop being so rude for one different form of government other than monarchy existed in medieval times, it wouldn't really be any more complicated as the militarist diplomat administrative system already in the game (also why is ideology a Redditor thing to say sorry every political theorist/visionary guess your all Redditors)
stop being such a stuck up wanker and let people share their ideas -

Firtree90HaydnKC Ah yes 20th century ideologies is really what we need in game. Especially regime that ruled Russia for most of the 20th century.
All in all not every game has to satisfy hoi4 gamers. -

Professor ParagonI really just want to be able to rename the titles “Leader” and “King” so I can make them “Mayor” and “President”, or “Heir” and “Emperor”.

FufnuruSocialism can be done, the king will receive a little less power points, then it will turn into communism and there will be no power at all

The Duke of RockfordI would recommend monarchy and republic be considered as basic types of government, and then have subtypes below them. For monarchies, you would have feudal monarchy, absolute monarchy, and constitutional monarchy. For the republic, you would have noble republic, merchant republic, and constitutional republic.
Now, with constitutional monarchy, this is where it could get interesting: the kingdom would have a parliament. The ruler could no longer plot for things like war without the collective consent of the elected Members of Parliament (MPs) and nobles. Moreover, the Parliament can depose a King, change the law of succession, appoint a Prince Regent (the heir) to rule the Kingdom in the monarch's name if the ruler is incapacitated in any way (insane, infected, or whatsoever), and so on. The Parliament would get its own special building built for the sitting. Every few years, a general election is called to elect the MPs. There may even be the Cabinet, but this might be redundant. -

KadenThis is a great point like presidents and prime minister’s, there should also be a feature where you can make a kingdom be like that democracy you can be able to change it to be able to put it onto that another kingdom so that another kingdom is their king and they also have a prime minister or they should be just their own kingdom so their own country president
