Guards for the leaders and for the king
As we can see, during in the war, the leaders and kingss are uneprotected and dies easily, so my suggestion it's to add guards to the leaders and elite guards for the king

Now more important than ever. In the beta The King can randomly just start a fight with random civilians and sometimes just dies because some random farmer was angry and decided to punch him, which is kinda funny but also annoying, so having two or more guards around him would be a nice balance. -

SamI think this is a really good idea because a giant kingdom 5000 or whatever population can be killed just by killing the king and im not saying it will always be easy for empire to kill a king but sometimes they are just having a vacation on the edge of the border

MatthewAdditional idea: when the king visits a village other than the capital, it should have a slight increase in loyalty

Mmmmm NoiceYES and maybe adding personal doctors for the king? I named a plague doctor (pab's personal doctor) but it wouldn't follow pab (obviously)

ilyaIt will be very cool if this is implemented, and add a new appearance for the royal guard so that they are noticeably different from ordinary soldiers, and it would be possible to make fighters get into the guard

DacondayThe only problem with this in my opinion is that kings don't really do much in huge kingdoms. This would be a cool idea if kings liked to travel more or lead battles, most kings just sit in the capital and so guards don't do much.

PabloIt would be logical if this elite guard unit get’s chosen from the general army based on traits like “Veteran” “Strong” etc.

It is true that kings don't do much BUT kings can prevent rebellions based on traits and stuff.
Another thing is that tons and tons of people including me; have lore in their worlds.. So the kings add content and value to the lore and having guards would be cool + adding MORE to the lore -

JeremyDon’t neglect that rat king mechanic. It’s already good to go, slap it on a regular king so guards are doing that to the king and you’re pretty much golden right?
