New building - Academy of Magicians
A new type of units will appear for each race: magician
The magician's staff determines its type (fire, earth, water, air, healing, boosting, etc (and those that are already in the game))
Magicians will make the battles more diverse and epic

I wouldn’t call it a school or academy since that gives too much of Harry Potter vibe for me. How about just a good ole fashioned wizard’s tower or heck even a mage’s guild? -

KomPavI had just thought of this idea, glad to see there's already a post for it.
I picture mages being the next major cornerstone up from archery for a culture, giving their civilizations a serious edge over their neighbors.
But maybe unlike archers, the numbers of mages would always be relatively light? They'd be coolest as a support unit - not too many but definitely noticeable when there. -

FloofdroidI think it’d be cool if their biome effected what staff they had. Like, if they’re in a fire forest, maybe they’re more likely to have a fire staff.

MIHYeah and with this we could generate White and Red Magician manually
Instead of just spawning then killing them so the civilization could stolen their magical staffs... -

LazerPersonally I would want the magic types to be
Light
Dark
Water
Fire
Air
Earth
Where Dark is stronger than all except Light Water beats Fire, Fire beats Air, Air beats Earth, Earth beats Water and Light is neutral amongst everything and effective against Dark -

Captainphoton (ollier Paul)I hope they made the human have the least amount of mage, with a global mage rank bellow the earth crust. But have exceptional mages so powerful they are considered disaster if they aren't under the ruling of some king.

FrancuzFor me it will only ruin battle... If there is epic battle of a lot of swordmans and archers and one magician is coming he would destroy everyone

TBPTo francuz: The magician doesn’t need to be strong. Maxim can nerf them.
E.g. The fire wand for a magician can only shoot one fireball / Ice wand doesn’t completely freeze, rather acting like an AOE control -

a_table_sawMy opinion is that magic should be associated with religion (another planned feature), and God (the player) can decide what kind of magic powers that religion is allowed to use.
Or, for more 'automation', there could be a world law that allows religions to automatically discover new magics. -

JesseI think this is very important for the game because it lacks a magic focus and magic makes the world go round specially when we see wizards druids and evil mage necromancers I think it’s very important we can create these units for the kingdom and then even be able to come and do it like hero titles or something like that I think would be really cool please
