Civilization Titans
Inspired by the titan units from Age of Mythology each civilization should be able to produce a large powerful unit unique to the specific civilization, perhaps only spawning during wars and only if a civilization is advanced enough so they'd essentially be siege units/warbeasts. Like in AoM titan units would all have similar stats and no special attacks for balance, they'd just be a particularly tough and powerful unit. Each civilization could only have one titan unit at any time, if slain they can spawn another one after a set amount of time has passed for further balancing. Titan units will also prioritize other titan units over anything else if there's any nearby essentially leading to a literal clash of titans
Some examples:
Humans: Goliath (giant human equipped in knight or paladin armor)
Dwarves: Iron Golem
Elves: Ent
Orcs: Troll (a ref to the LotR series)
Howleers (wolf civilization): Fenrir
Ribbits (frog civilization): Froghemoth
Candymen: Marshmallow Giant (Stay Puft ref)

You should also be able to choose whether you want them in your world. -

Shadowenigma250xI imagine there would be an option to turn them on and off yeah. That said they would be sorta of an endgame thing so they wouldn't be normally available unless a civilization is advanced enough and has the knowledge to produce them, which is also similar to what happens in Age of Mythology. These are also not meant to be something as large and as powerful as Crabzilla, more like something akin to a dragon, powerful yes but not unbeatable

AlthewatcherAge of Mythology has always been a favorite of mine so do like the idea, do agree though that there should be an option to turn them on and off. Another suggestion I'd add to the idea would be to be immune to infectious things such as tumors and mush infections since they're meant to be powerful endgame units, if anything they should also automatically target any nearby spawner monsters as well as dragons thus making titans useful counters to said things. Finally while I love the idea of Stay Puft Marshmallow man-like being as a titan for Candymen I feel like a titan inspired by Cookie Monster would fit just as well, mostly because of a picture I once saw of Cookie Monster as a kaiju-like monster. Either way this gets my vote!

NihrahkSounds really cool. Perhaps the Snok (snake people) could get Jormungand or a hydra? The Reptiloids (croc people) could get Godzilla (or something similar at least) and the Pecklords (chicken people) could get a Cockatrice.

Shadowenigma250xI'm aware of the heroes suggestion, but as I've said in my original post Titans would be more like warbeast or living siege units. The overall idea is inspired by Age of Mythology which also has hero units so no reason to believe the same can apply here and have both hero and titan units available to civilizations
