Better Dragons
NEW ABILITY: Roar(push back units in the close vicinity).Dragons will now have lairs(only on top of mountains). in their lairs they will lay their egg and the egg will hatch after a hundred years or so, during that time the egg could be stolen from the mother dragon by the kingdoms and hatch into a domesticated dragon which is half as strong as the wild dragons, or it can be stolen by evil mages to created evil dragons or corrupted dragons which is also half as strong as wild dragons. Once a dragon die the corpse will stay there for a set amount of time, during that time necromancers can come resurrect the dead dragon to create an undead/skeleton dragon which is again half as strong. Mother dragons that have their eggs stolen will become enrage (ATK and Resistance increased+madness and lose its strong mind trait). extra color variation for dragons and maybe dragon equipment?

How is it not yet confirmed? The only thing I would change is the weird skeleton dragon thing, it should be just like it is with other creatures, after dying with the cursed trait (I think that's what it's called idk) maybe dragon armor? -

Firedragon20179i think if a dragon is cursed and dies it should become a skeleton dragon since that's how other creatures turn into skeletons

Nightstar100% approve this one :) Would be awesome if dragons would build a lair in Mountains too :) Then use that as a base for their raids. They could even steal gold from kingdoms and add to their lair, increasing their power etc. Endless possibilities :D

ParadoxDragons in the game are too OP, specially if you deploy them at the beginning of the game. One solution for this is that the dragons when deployed by the player would be in the form of BABIES!
Everybody loves baby dragons!
Also, since they take longer to grow up by that time civilizations would've advanced enough to resist it's attacks.
Dragons should be elevated from their position as mindless destructive beasts in the game, and should be given a personality, similar to what the other civilized creatures in the game have.
For example, a dragon with high diplomatic skills can form a peaceful relation with a kingdom and become it's guardian in exchange of food or some other resources. A dragon with the greedy trait would only attack rich kingdoms/villages. -

Chunky DungusOh wow...Finally made it to the front page.
Thank to the few of you guys that supported the idea and left a comment onto it.
Yes I too would love more elemental dragons to be a thing and YES baby dragons absolutely needs to be a thing also. I was thinking for some special stats and traits as well as personality for dragons, like for example "Good hearted" they will be applied to the dragon that protects a kingdom for over a set amount of time...say 5 centuries, or the personality "Ferocious" dragons with this personality rarely if not at all acts peacefully around normal mobs, they will attack most of the time for absolutely no reason at all, or "Ignorant" which means that the dragon is too prideful to even communicate with the mortal species. Unique traits like "Wise" would be removed for dragons, only given to them once they turns into an elder dragon. Which allow evil mobs to potentially corrupt them during the time that they mature, thus making the "Mad Dragon" sub specie. (P.1) -

Chunky DungusP.2
Elements of the dragons could also effect their chances of personality. For example fire dragons have a higher chance of being "Ferocious", Ice Dragons have a higher chance of being "Cold hearted" and Say Earth Dragons have a higher chance of being "Caring". Dragons that are guardians of a kingdom will give the king of said nation a trait called "Dragon's Bond" in which increase the unit's stats by 15%, and 50% of the damage taken will be transfer to the dragon. I think this is necessary so that even if a unit is blessed by a dragon, if they are too reckless the dragon could die with them to keep things ballanced. Some Unique Stats that only dragons possesses are for example:" Dignity" increase troops' morales during war, "Majestic" which increase the dragon's likeability(makes the mortal species less likely to attack the dragon first, "Wisdom" the cultural research speed will get a bonus equal to 10% of this stat, for for example if the stat is 100 Wisdom then- -
21 Jan, '22
Chunky DungusP.3The bonus stat will be "#+10" and so on. A few special researches that will be available could be something like a "Santuary" which is a resting place for the dragon, can only be built of the kingdom has more than 1k5 units of land, or "Hall of Ascension" where a leader unit could get the "Limit Break" stat from dragons that possesses the "Wise" stats in which increase their max level cap by 3 (which will make it 15-17 max). In a case where a dragon kills another then the winner of the two will get a 20% bonus stats taken from the defeated dragon, capped at 5 kills. Lastly for a NEW race of mortal specie where could have dragon mewt/dragonlings. They are a rare breed of specie that are have features of dragons like wings and horns, they possesses superior strength compare to most other races, but due to the blood of dragons being too strong, most of them die at birth, so only a limited amount will appear every decade or so.
That is a few more of my ideas, feel free to share thoughts -

GOD:Dragon's couple.
Dragons don't just wander around and destroy things on a whim like they do now.
Two dragons should be able to spawn an egg and protect the area around it.
Maybe even hoarding treasures. -

RohlfODragon riders, some people can befriend and tame dragons and protect their kingdom or go rogue and explore the world
-

Sylrie ArgentusI'd love it if dragons were improved and able to have lairs/territories and baby dragons. I'd also love if kingdoms (or maybe cultures that have certain technology) could try to befriend dragons by offering gold and/or food. Overall I just want to see improved dragons in worldbox lol

Viktor VasquezDragon corpses can be mined by kingdoms and use to create powerful weapons and artifacts like a sword made of dragon bones, a robe made of dragon skin, armor made of dragon bones etc...

Ghost09Depending on what time a dragon is resurrected it can either be a skeleton dragon or undead dragon. Skeleton dragon should have 70% percent chance at losing its wings and 25% for the undead and depending on what type of dragon that is resurrected in to skeleton that skeleton dragon should have it's elemental breath merged with cursed breath and like chunky dingus said they should be half as strong as regular dragon

Elcrabo7i had also a similar idea i would love if dragon were more developed .
creating lairs where they would stock everything they have stolen (gold, gem ,good equipement recovered on people they killed) they can only make it in a territory not controled unless it's a tamed/friendly dragonthey would be able to lay eggs (and maybe create couple of dragon) depending of were they are born (and maybe their parents) there is different kind of dragon (it could be just skin or more like special breath , personality ,....)
since dragon can reproduce now they should maybe less aggressive (maybe a bit less strong) it's ok burn people that piss them off but just roaming and destroying everything until death is not fun .They would raid kingdom to steal a certain amount of ressources and then they get back to their lairs.
just like how village work there is some space between each lairs . -

Anonymouswe need dragons that can be tamed, dragons that ally with kingdoms and units they favour

EnKeiI'm not sure if this is a bug or not but this should definitely be a feature!
I play in android and madness trait will literally make them more agro its like the attacks are buffed with canceled animation.
FOR KEEPSIES:
- Midair dive left and right in rows.
- Occasionally mobile when perching and does the semi circle fire breath more often especially when provoked.
MENTALLY ILL! PLS PATCH:
the reason why I believe this is a bug because they appear to have sleep movement disorder similar to when they perch & dragons with said trait inflict self harm leading to suicide and can only be fixed by reloading the world, anger issues left unchecked.
Try it out yourselves, if it didn't work I could provide footage if there is a way to do that here. -

nigel!!i love this idea minus the (weakened versions idea) as long as the kingdom is strong the tamed dragons should be able to grow as strong as their wild counterparts.

WOWOWOWOW:vWOW :0 WOw!A dragons scales can be used for armor/materials, the dragons wouldn't be so angry all the time, and if they have certain traits live flower print they could sleep and flowers would pop up around the, or if they have cold aura they could breath the cold! Dragons would also screech when there eggs are stolen.

DJ MergedJust like King of kings achievement, 1 King from any nation/race will have to;
1. Survive Fire (burn)
2. Survive fire biome 3-6 days
3. Kingslayer (without scar)
4. Wipe out an entire kingdom consisting of population more than 20-30
5. Slay 3 dragons
6. Defeat 3 elf kings
7. Overcome madness
Once all these are completed the player/king receives dragon tamer.
Dragon Tamer trait gives ;
1. No Dragon will attack the people from the kings kingdom regardless of were they are. It's people automatically recieve fire shield.
2. The king can ride the dragon
(Being controlled like the crab- this is more of dev's decision) but if not, then the king rides the dragon on it's random course.
3. When the dragon dies the king can transform into a dragon at will during combat (like a werewolf type deal)
----------
Suggestion 2
Werewolves
YES!
Zombies exist so werewolf and vampire races would be awesome!😉 -

KazeDragons also need better resistance to knockback. Any dragon I spawn could get easily killed by armies without even harming them because of knockback

VasPerhaps also peaceful dragons that don't attack unless first attacked and only respond in self defense.
Or even greedy dragons that force a kingdom to give tribute of food or precious metals or else they'll be attacked. Using the same "planning" system to have the dragon "plan to attack" which can be stopped if that kingdom agrees to whatever the dragon wants in which case it forms a non-aggression with the dragon for a set time and such. -
03 Feb, '24
NabbutDragons need to be more sentient, making a lair in remote regions to recuperate and store treasures, not berserk until very swiftly killed.
They could use diplomacy as well, making protection treaties with kingdoms and anointing their humanoid champions giving them special powers. -
08 Apr, '25
SomeoneWhen someone kills a dragon they can collect dragon scales and make equipment from it, that would have some special trait like resistance to the element of the dragon from which the scales were collected
-

PrometheusLetItBurnIt would be awesome to see a unit wearing Dragon skeleton armor thats like Adamantium or something, and with the new subspecies they could add sentient dragons since right now you can't evolve dragons oh also dragon saddles! Have units ride dragons :)

CalI would love to see all of these ideas, as well as the addition of a sapient dragonkin race. Right now dragons are notably lacking in a lot compared to the rest of the game and are very flat without much in the way of personality outside of being menacing and burninating the countryside, so giving them a full rework and resprite so they have more depth, can actually live in the world and can more meaningfully interact with civs in various ways (and the ability to form their own civilizations, either by direct sapience or getting Monolithed into a bipedal scalie race like the Punkcorns) would be all very welcome additions if they can be squeezed in at any point.
Some suggestions for dragons and dragonkin if Maxim is looking at this: Elemental breaths and matching Proof traits depending on which biome they spawn in, and a separate Flight subtrait distinct from Hovering that can let a creature fly like dragons currently do to go to waypoints instead of going around or taking boats. -

NundaA big thing right now that seems to kill dragons is that they don't run away from fights they can't win.
I think dragons should get way more health (and/or armor) but also make them disengage if they take too much damage and return to a place they consider home (great suggestions about dragon nests already).
It is common for predators to avoid injuries more so than herbivores, because you can still eat a berry from a bush if you're hurt, while killing prey is much harder.
Dragons could run away even if they're still 70% health to make sure they get away and can regenerate injuries. Also they should have some way of dealing with getting crippled, because that's what happens to every dragon I gave super health to. -

VI’d love dragons to have a sapient for like a lot of animals affected by the monolith where they can shift between full-size dragon form and human form or not necessarily, but they’re just quite a few things that are listed under the creatures tab that can’t be given the traits needed to create a civilization which irks me I wanna have a little cyber core city I want to see the dragons build a city.

CalWe definitely need better dragons. Dragons as they are in the current build are very barebones to the point where the game doesn't even count them as creatures despite the massive update. So far my suggestion is that there are different types of dragon based on the biome that they are spawned in each with a unique breath attack trait, elemental proofing and behavior, and that they can form lairs in random parts of the map (typically favoring mountain or hill terrain) to nest in, allowing for dragons to breed, with different interactions with civilizations depending on their personality such as the possibility of settling in kingdoms and being used as mounts whenever those are implemented.
They should also be monolith-able like the Unicorns, so we can have proper dragonkin as a beastfolk civilization to fully round out the selection we have right now with the ability to fly. Maybe also implement kobolds as their own civ, that would be fun. -

Jack McGowanIt would be so cool if dragons were very op but they go into slumbers that are very long (there would be ways to wake them), maybe even insane people can attack slumbering dragons and wake them. Also different colour and shape dragons of varying power, such as wyverns witch are weakest, a serpent one that is middle, and even the red dragon which is super strong.
