Slaves
Any non-same race wars could end with one side or the other becoming slaves
Example: dwarfs vs elves dwarfs win and capture elves and make them do the work

Perhaps only enemy army units can be made slaves, and only after their home village is captured. They could become in effect citizens of the capturing army's village, but all of their money goes to the commander of the army that captured their original village. Upon the commander's death they are either freed or go to the commander's firstborn. Also, this should be a culture trait, not done by all cultures, probably orcs evil civilizations. Question: Would their children be free or slaves? -

Unknown dudeBut maybe they could also do inter race slavery cuz I’m free user so I only have humans, maybe like make it captured coyotes and then make all the former residents slaves

JesseMaybe we re-Brendan name but yeah very very cool idea maybe: War prisoners or something like that and you know they get ransom door they have to work to become free or something more civilised than you know slaves but definitely not saying no seriously though they should be able to have like freedom movement and all that and hold out hold onto the games law

JaauyuUAnd May be if dwarfs Kingdom get damaged by a war or something, the slaves start a rebellion, and if the king has the “pacifist” feature the kingdom don’t take slaves

RyanThis is a very good idea. We should remind ourselves that if we are truly gods, then morals should not control our actions.
God simulators are for us to observe and learn, and not to control. -

MrGummyWoah there bucko why do you have to assume they're racist? Why can't they enslave their own species too!

Ratty (Eletrão)Well, it's a fantasy game, it's complicated when people put racism in that. Well, i think it's a good and interesting idea a mechanic where the kingdoms chose to have a enslavement systems, but for avoid polemics they can look for add slavery just for other kingdoms from another species (if this make people find it's better).

Sand RentalThe game's already full of dark themes like cannibalism and child labor, so I don't see how slavery would push it over the edge. This is a great idea and would be perfect ground for making the diplomacy system more complex. Different kingdoms with different stances on slavery would add so much depth to the game.
Plus, it's much better than the current status quo of inter-species wars always ending in genocide. It gets boring when every world eventually only has one civilized species in it because they killed everyone else. Give every species a chance. An enslaved species could fight for freedom or even take over the kingdom keeping them. -

Nobody in ParticularI feel like the backlash to this concept is extremely surface level- in most civilization sims there are mechanics like this. They don't exist to fulfill some sort of racist fantasy, they're a game mechanic to add complexity to the outcomes of war, to have another resource to balance. Like, do the people who think adding this would be too dark not realize that xenophobia and supremacy are already mechanics?
If it really bothers you that much you could very easily just call them prisoners of war. If that concept is still too dark for you, I'm not really sure why you're playing a game where the entire focus is on building civilizations who go to war with eachother to the point of total racial genocide. That kind of tone is an inherent part of a sim game like this. I would say this game literally already has that kind of tone. The nature of this system would already inherently mesh with existent mechanics really well. Slaves could revolt, other countries could try to free them... -

I Am InevitableThis will def not be added, for a good reason I mean imagine a new worldbox update the usual screen pops up and it's like Slaves Are Comming To WORLDBOX, Beat A Civilization And Capture Them And Force Them To Do Work (whip sounds pending)

Eric RousselIf slave is added it should be a cultural trait ; some culture being pro-slave and some anti-slave. The trait or laws (if they add law) decide who can be slave (only people of a different religion or only people of a different culture, etc). But this will probably not be added ; I'm not even up-voting it ; I just thing most mechanic should be a cultural traits.
